Use this basket drill to keep your swing connected
I bet over the course of your golfing life someone has looked at your swing and said ‘you’re not getting through the ball properly’. Whether this is true or not about your swing, it’s definitely a thing! Normally we classify this phrase as a breakdown of the arms into the downswing and at impact. Doing this is a surefire way to kill your speed and reduce your distance. So, we need a way to overcome this and here it is!
Do this on the range!
Fill your basket half full of range balls and swing it as shown in the pictures above. The weight of the balls should give you some good ‘feels’ for keeping your arms connected to your body and avoiding the bent elbow ‘chicken wing’ positions that are killing your strikes.
